Beacon 360 Inc. was established to fundamentally change healthcare delivery for the better by bringing it in line with the compassion and humanity of Christian doctrine and ethics. As an integral part of, the Beacon Christian Community Health Center in Staten Island, NY, Beacon 360's mission is to train those in the medical field, from students through professionals in practice by instilling in them the precepts of healing as Christ heals.
Our model is Christian action and truth in holistic medical education, training and practice, best exemplified in BCCHC's successful approach. Founded in 2003 by doctors and community leaders to bring medical care to one of New York's most underserved neighborhoods, Staten Island. Since opening its doors in 2006, BCCHC has delivered quality, affordable healthcare to thousands of patients with dignity, compassion and respect for each as an individual.
Recognizing the humanity in each patient we encounter is central to the medical education and practitioner development of Beacon 360. It makes us better able to care not just for a person's physical wellbeing, but to make them whole emotionally and spiritually.
As a teaching clinic, Beacon 360 offers both students and working professionals hands-on, comprehensive programs in physical, spiritual and emotional care that adhere to the highest levels of ethical, Christian values. We provide:
Campus Fellowships
— a two-year program of medical mission-style training on how to work as a Christian practitioner within the U.S. Healthcare system.
Preceptorships
— Medical residents participate in a one-month pre-residency immersion in an urban medical mission as well as a fifth-year co-op program.
Career Positions
— Attending physicians, serve fulltime at urban medical missions. Here they help transform the lives of impoverished patients and others in need of holistic Christian wellness.
Consultancy for Christian Medical Schools
— Assist with the development of proven Christian Centered Curriculum Models.
